Latest Updates from Our Project:

Updates and More!
over 2 years ago – Wed, Sep 01, 2021 at 05:01:32 PM

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having a fabulous week! Once again, I just want to express how absolutely astonished I am at the support and love you’ve all shown this deck! You have surpassed my wildest dreams for this Kickstarter and my heart is full to bursting with gratitude for each of you! Thank you so much!

I have a few updates I want to share with you all:

Card Edges

As I mentioned in the last update, I had to do a little pivot from my original plan of adding a silver foil card edge to the deck since it will not work with the soft matte lamination finish. (Which is SO divine to touch!) After doing some thinking and hearing some thoughts from a few of you, I have decided to go with a matte color on the edges to match one of the colors in the deck. I have mocked up 2 potential colors, but I’m really quite torn on which one to go with. I’d love to hear from you all on which one you like best. Below are the 2 color options. Feel free to message me back on Kickstarter, or I’ve also posted these on my Instagram page if you’d like to weigh in there. (@ferociousink on IG for any that don’t currently follow me)

New Add-On!

I’m so excited to share that I have been collaborating with an amazing creator, The Auld Spaewife to offer a new deck wrap bag add-on! You can find her and her beautiful creations on Instagram @the.auld.spaewife

Each bag is designed with a built-in reading cloth making every flat surface ideal for your tarot readings. On the outside is a custom printed cotton fabric with a pattern made from the symbols and colors from the deck itself. Inside, you can choose between a light silver crushed velour or a charcoal velvet satin for your reading space. Both of these fabrics are beautifully tactile and provide the perfect backdrop for your Tarot Disassembled cards! The bag is tied with a golden yellow faux suede cord that has been finished with two yellow agate beads. Yellow agate is a revitalizing crystal which is said to bring courage, confidence, happiness and prosperity.

These limited edition wrap bags are unique to the Tarot Disassembled Kickstarter and will be limited to only 50 available wraps!

If you would like to add one of these gorgeous wraps on to your pledge, simply go to the “Manage Your Pledge” button found at the top of the Tarot Disassembled Kickstarter page and you can choose to add the wrap there.

Stretch Goals Update

With this being my first Kickstarter, I had originally only planned for stretch goals up to $10,000. I just had no idea how far this Kickstarter campaign would go! But thanks to all of you amazing souls, I have had the opportunity to think up some additional stretch goals!

Currently, the following stretch goals have all been unlocked:

  • Matte colored card edges
  • Spot UV gloss lamination on all graphic elements and text on both the boxes and card backs
  • Set of 3 holographic stickers for ALL backers!
  • Set of 3 shimmer cardstock postcards for ALL backers!
  • Holographic bookmark for ALL backers!

And here are the new stretch goals that we can hopefully unlock as well!

  • $50,000 Additional shimmer cardstock postcard for ALL backers (making it a set of 4 total)
  • $60,000 Holographic sticker with signature Picasso quote for ALL backers
  • $70,000 Printed satin drawstring deck bag for ALL backers (I will share a design for this as we get closer to unlocking this goal.)
  • $88,888 Custom Tarot Disassembled phone ring holder for ALL backers! (This one I’m especially hopeful for! I will share a mockup of the design as we get closer to that goal, but I personally use a ring holder with my phone all the time to prop it up and hold it more easily, so the thought of being able to give everyone a custom Tarot Disassembled one just makes me unbelievably happy!)

That is all of the major updates I have for you right now. I have been working on the guidebook and will be sharing a sample layout of a few pages of that with you all very soon! As always, don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions whatsoever. I love hearing from you!

Thank you all again for your amazing support! Hopefully you will not tire of hearing this from me, because I will continue to thank you all every step of the way! Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping an independent deck creator make this dream a reality! Love to you all!

Amazing First Week!
over 2 years ago – Wed, Aug 18, 2021 at 06:55:32 PM

Hi everyone!

We are exactly one week into the campaign now, and all I can say is... "WOW!!" I am blown away by the love you all have shown to this project! My heart is full of gratitude for each and every one of you and I cannot say Thank You enough! I wanted to share a few updates on the campaign with you all:

Box Design

As some of you may have seen on my recent Instagram post, I have some exciting news regarding the box design for the deck. I had originally mocked up 2 different colors for the box design: A bright yellow and a dark blackish-gray. When I shared the two options on IG prior to the campaign launch, the response was overwhelmingly split down the middle. I struggled to decide which one to go with but ultimately chose the yellow box as I felt it was more unique among tarot deck boxes. But with the huge success of the campaign already, I'm so happy to share that I've decided to offer BOTH box colors! Below are the 2 options you will be able to choose from now:

If you're not sure which one you would like, there's no need to decide right now. Near the end of the campaign (September 2nd) I will be sending out backer surveys and that is when you can officially select which color you would like. If you chose a tier with multiple decks, or added on any additional decks, you can absolutely mix and match the colors in any way you would like. I'm so tickled that everyone will get the one they wanted the most now and I couldn't have done that without the huge support you have all shown for this project!

Gilded Card Edges

One of the original stretch goals I built in to this project was to be able to add holographic silver gilded card edges to the decks. We achieved that stretch goal the very first day! But in talking with my printer, I discovered the holographic silver edges do not play well with the soft matte lamination I will be finishing the cards with. (And believe me, that soft matte lamination is SO divine with a petal soft feel!) So I'm pivoting slightly and looking at other options for the card edges.

A few options I am considering are matte silver, matte gold or possibly a color on the edge. (The matte silver and matte gold both still have a lovely metallic shimmer to them!) I will keep you all in the loop on where that lands, but just know that there will indeed still be a beautiful edge color of some sort added to the cards.

Stretch Goals and New Add-Ons

As I mentioned in the previous update, we met ALL the original stretch goals I had planned in the first day! You all blew my expectations for this project out of the water so this past week I've been collaborating with a few other creators behind-the-scenes to make a few new additional exciting add-ons available, as well as thinking up some additional freebies to thank all my backers.

Currently all backers will receive 3 holographic stickers and 3 postcards with their pledges. I also just finished designing and ordering samples of a new bookmark printed on holographic cardstock that I will also be including among the freebies! Below is a digital sneak peek, though it really doesn't quite do it justice without that beautiful holographic shimmer!

I will share actual photos of the real one as soon as they are in my hands later this week. I will also update again soon with the reveal of the new available Add-Ons as well!

Project We Love Status

One final bit of exciting news to share is that Kickstarter awarded Tarot Disassembled the "Project We Love" status on August 4th! For anyone not familiar with that, the Kickstarter team keeps an eye out for projects that stand out and curate a collection of projects that they choose to feature and celebrate. Again, my thanks go out to all of you, because this project is only as strong as the support of all of you amazing backers! So exciting!

Communication

As this is my first Kickstarter, I'm trying to strike the right balance of communication with you all. I will be sure to continue to update you all as things progress, but I will also aim to compile updates into a weekly update such as this, rather than be in your inbox every day. Please feel free to reach out any time with any questions regarding any aspect of this project.

For anyone on Instagram who does not currently follow me, please feel free to follow me @ferociousink. I often post updates and images of the project there as well.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

That is all the updates I have for you all at this moment. But I just want to leave you with a final word of gratitude. I am struggling to find adequate words to convey how tremendously grateful I am for you all! I appreciate you all so much for helping me make this campaign a huge success!

With gratitude,

Jennifer

100% Funded and Several Stretch Goals Unlocked!
over 2 years ago – Fri, Aug 06, 2021 at 10:41:04 AM

I am in complete awe right now! Nine hours into the campaign, and we are now 100% fully funded AND have already unlocked the first 4 stretch goals!! Thank you SO much to everyone who has backed the deck so far! I am so very grateful to all of you for believing in this project!

With the unlocked stretch goals, the deck will now have holographic silver card edges and spot UV gloss lamination on all the graphic elements and text on the box (which will really add a lovely pop on top of the soft matte finish.) All backers will now also receive 3 holographic stickers and 3 postcards printed on shimmer cardstock with their rewards!

There is currently only 1 stretch goal left to unlock... a secret mystery Add-On! (oooooooh, ahhhhhhh) But I do have some ideas for a few fun additional stretch goals that I might add if the campaign keeps up at this pace. Stay Tuned! And thank you!!
